TIELU GAN PORT
The project scope includes service apartments, residential villas, boutique & major shopping centers, and a hotel complex. This site consists of two major geologically unique land formations. The first is a crescent-shaped canyon with a natural pool at the base. This base slopes gently to the sea to form an intimate beach experience. The second site features a linear hillside with an expansive view of the ocean. This height of the hill is similar to the first site but this hill slopes consistently towards the beachfront. The two sites are linked by a highpoint on the hillside with an army base at the lowpoint of the hill. Our design concept was two create two major districts:
VALLEY
We envisioned the canyon as a more intimate site with larger one-of-a-kind mansions on the hillside, the hotel complex integrated into/around the lake at the base of the canyon, and a finger-shaped boutique commercial district connected to the hotel base, extending to the water, forming canals to infiltrate the space between the fingers, creating cascading streams of water from lake-thru boutique village-to sea.
CANYON
The Valley District is comprised of a series of service apartment complexes at the high point of the hillside, a major mixed-use commercial shopping district straddling the grain of the slope to the seaside, and a seaside finger-shaped residential village, private yachtclub, & dockyard. An existing nature preserve creates a gateway to the overall masterplan along its western edge.
